In the foreground an RNLI lifeboat is prominently featured on the left, with crew members in engaging in activity, preparing for departure from the harbour. A variety of yachts and boats, with their masts and rigging, fill the harbour, reflecting neatly in the calm water. Each vessel is distinct, showcasing details such as names, ropes, and features of their designs. Kayakers and paddle-boarders add a lively element of recreational activity, while a woman on a sailboat is talking to the paddle-boarder who is passing her by, bringing a sense of daily life to the painting.

The colourful terraced houses lining the harbour create a cheerful backdrop. Their pastel hues, ranging from blue, pink, yellow, and white, exude charm and blend harmoniously with the serene surroundings. The quay is bustling with people strolling, relaxing, or engaging with the harbour, emphasising the lively atmosphere of the community and a summers day out.

Behind the houses, lush green hills and trees rise gently, providing a tranquil, natural contrast to the lively harbor. The church with its pointed steeple serves as a focal architectural feature, rooted in the cultural and historical identity of the town. Hot air balloons floating in the sky in the distance add an unexpected, whimsical touch, suggesting a festival or celebratory event. The sky is bright and clear, with fluffy white clouds scattered across a soft blue expanse. Gulls are captured in flight, adding movement and a coastal ambiance to the scene.
