London Panorama. The Thames Towards Blackfriars Bridge

London Panorama. The Thames Towards Blackfriars Bridge. Original oil painting on wooden panel by Roger Turner. 122.0 cm x 61 cm.

This is a scene of the London skyline showing the river Thames as seen from Waterloo Bridge on a dull, overcast and low cloud base day, with lots of muted tones and colours. This is the largest work that I have done to date. I wanted to show the progression of buildings and periods of construction across the skyline, from St Pauls to the Shard.

Other oil paintings of London views can be seen here:

  1. Tower. Bridge. HMS Belfast and the Thames East from London Bridge
  2. Trafalgar. Square in the Rain
  3. Piccadilly Circus, Eros and the NFL
