Permanently Moored Canal Boats in an Industrial Landscape. Watercolour, gouache, pen and ink. on extra smooth 250 gsm Bristol Board. Image Size: 39.5 X 27.5 cm. The location that is shown on the painting is not too far from my home. It depicts two of a number of what seems to be permanently moored canal boats next to very old industrial buildings on one bank of the Dudley Canal in Brierley Hill. I often walk along this branch of the canal on the opposite bank, taking numerous reference photo’s throughout the ever changing seasons, hoping for an inspiring moment.
